community. collaboration. creativity.

Mission Beach Community Arts Centre Inc. (Mission Arts) is a volunteer-led and volunteer-run not-for-profit incorporated association.

Our volunteers deliver all aspects of our operations, including the key areas of shop merchandising and sales; exhibition planning and display; workshops; events and catering; communications and marketing; as well as the various aspects of overall management and administrative support.

We are reputed to be the most active community arts organisation in the Far North.

Our creative offerings include:

  • A varied and balanced exhibition programme, with a mixture of solo, small group, themed & open community exhibitions
  • A dedicated Gallery & Shop space showcasing creative works by an array of local artists
  • Social, cultural and educational events & experiences
  • Hands-on workshops with talented local and visiting tutors
  • Interest groups that meet regularly to create and connect

The Mission Arts Gallery & Shop is open daily from 10am-2pm with additional workshops, special events and evening performances as scheduled.

Gallery entry is free of charge, though donations are sincerely appreciated and gratefully received.

All purchases and donations support the ongoing programming and offerings of our community arts centre and the livelihood of our local artists, authors, and creatives.

We thank you in advance for your support of the arts.

At our core, we’re about community, we’re about collaboration, and we’re about creating an inclusive arts space
where anyone can feel welcome to explore, or further develop, their artistic talents and creative pursuits.

We invite you to learn more about our history, explore what's on and join & support our creative community.
