From painting to photography, mixed media to mosaic, fibre arts to sculpture, we stage an ambitious calendar of exhibitions for emerging and experienced artists to display their latest artworks.

The mix of solo, small group, themed and open community exhibitions offers variety within the exhibition programme which delights exhibiting artists and gallery patrons alike.

Exhibition opening nights are open to the public and offer a more personal glimpse into the exhibition, with many of the exhibiting artists on hand to share the creative inspiration behind their works.

Gallery entry is free of charge. All purchases support the ongoing programming & activities of our community arts centre and the livelihood of our local artists.

Emerging and Re-emerging Artists
3 January - 28 January

An exhibition of emerging and re-emerging artists showcasing original works in a variety of mediums. Emerging artists include those who are 18 years of age or under or a full-time student, those who have been working at their art practice for less than 5 years, artists who have not held a solo exhibition or won a prize in a major competition or artists who are re-entering an art practice after some time away from exhibiting.

Light and Shadow
7 February - 11 March

An exhibition of original artworks that impart wonderful shadows or that showcase tonal contrast and variation in their composition.

FOCUS Photography Awards Exhibition
14 March - 22 April
Open to All Photographers

The FOCUS Photography Awards Exhibition is our annual community photographic exhibition. Open to photographers of all ages and skill levels, this family-friendly community exhibition showcases an array of diverse images from amongst a number of different categories. Individual award prizes are generously sponsored by Mission Beach businesses.

The Push The Pull
Artworks by Sarah Philips - Solo Exhibition
25 April - 20 May

This contemporary collection of artwork focuses on themes of nature, still-life, and landscape and reflects Sarah's connection to beaches and coastal surroundings. Some paintings are realistic and visually compelling landscapes with some featuring rugged terrains, rocks, rivers and beach shells. There are whimsical additions with tea lights celebrating the calm and beauty of shorelines and places. Primarily working in watercolours and gouache, she also paints in acrylics and oils. Her works are painterly, realistic and visually beautiful with subdued colours, detailed layering and the push and pull between all elements.

Earth & Fire
23 May - 17 June

Elements of earth, ignited by the transformative power of fire, inspire magical and marvellous creations. This exhibition is a visual feast of unique and original 3D artworks inspired by or incorporating the elements of clay, glass, mosaic, wood, pyrography and/or metal.
